2025年7月29日から8月1日までの4日間、古巣の東京大学大学院学際情報学府で集中講義「メディアとリテラシーの未来」を開催しました。18名の大学院生のみなさんと、たくさんのことをいっしょに学びました。そのレポートが情報学環オープンスタジオのウェブサイトにアップされたのでご一読ください。
In the middle of summer 2025, I held a four-day intensive course, “The Future of Media & Literacy” at the Graduate School of Interdiscplinary Information Studies (GSII), The University of Tokyo. It was playful, and I learned a lot together with 18 graduate students. The report has been posted at the III Open Studio website.
去る7月末、東京大学大学院学際情報学府で「メディアとリテラシーの未来」という4日間の集中講義を行いました。
メディア論とメディア・リテラシーを３つの次元に分けてとらえ、それぞれに対応した３つのワークショップをおこないました。メディアとリテラシーを思弁的にではなく、体感的に深く理解してもらうためです。
第３の次元、すなわちプラットフォームをデザインする次元では、情報学環と学際情報学府という学びの場を魔改造するというワークショップをおこないました。
この度、そのワークショップ・レポートが、学環・学府のウェブサイトにアップされました。

At the end of last July, I gave a four-day intensive course at the Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Information Studies (GSII) of the University of Tokyo titled “The Future of Media and Literacy.”
I divided media theory and media literacy into three dimensions and conducted three workshops corresponding to each. The purpose was to provide a deep understanding of media and literacy, not speculatively, but experientially.
For the third dimension of designing a platform, I conducted a workshop called “Magical Transformation (Makaizo) of the Interfaculty Initiative in Information Studies (III) and GSII as A Learning Platform.”

2022年4月に私が関西大学に着任して、まもなく半年が経ちます。
私は大阪・千里の丘の上のキャンパスで、愉快な学生や素敵な同僚に囲まれて、とても元気にしています。
日ごろからお世話になっているみなさんに、あらためてお礼申し上げます。

It will soon be six months since I transferred to Kansai University in April 2022.
I am doing very well on the campus on the hilltop in Senri, Osaka, surrounded by delightful students and wonderful colleagues.
I want to thank you all again for your daily support.
The graduate school entrance examinations will be held in the fall semester, and I will accept students.
I have prepared a message for the applicants.
The message is written in Japanese because Japanese is the language used in graduate school.

Kansai University is just one week away from summer vacation.
I was interviewed by a group of students as part of a class in the media major.

In 2021, I am taking a year-long sabbatical and will not accept any postgraduate or international research students. I regret that I will not be able to meet new students, but please bear with me.
