Be Chimera: My first and last interview by iii

I was given my first and last interview by the PR Committee of the University of Tokyo’s Interfaculty Initiative in Information Studies (iii).
In the first half of the interview, I talked about the process of establishing the discipline of media studies in Japan and the interdisciplinary and practical media theory I promoted at the iii.

In the second half, I discussed the miraculous birth of the Interfaculty Initiative in Information Studies and the Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Information Studies (GSII) within the huge bureaucracy of the University of Tokyo and my final message to the students.

後半では、東京大学という巨大な官僚機構の中に情報学環・学際情報学府が奇跡的に誕生した経緯と、学生たちへの最後のメッセージを語りました。
